Celebrating Bike St. Louis Phase 2

Join us in celebrating the expansion of Bike St. Louis!

Just in time for National Bike to Work Week, May 12-16, the Great Rivers Greenway District has announced the opening of 57 miles of additional on-street Bike St. Louis routes through St. Louis County and St. Louis City. With the expansion, the Bike St. Louis system now totals 77 miles of dedicated bike lanes and shared traffic lanes.

Join the ribbon cutting events on Thursday, May 8.
We will celebrate the new routes at:

  • 10 a.m. in Maplewood in front of Schlafly Bottleworks, 7260 Southwest Avenue
  • 11 a.m. in Clayton at MetroLink station, Central and Shaw Park Drive
  • 12:30 p.m. in St. Louis City, intersection of St. Louis Ave. and Blair Ave.
    (½ block west of Crown Candy Kitchen).

The Great Rivers Greenway District is the public organization leading the development of a region-wide system of interconnected greenways, parks and trails, known as the River Ring. The River Ring will join two states and cover an area of 1,216 square miles. The Greenway District was established in November 2000 by the successful passage of the Clean Water, Safe Parks and Community Trails Initiative (Proposition C) in St. Louis City, St. Louis County and St. Charles County, Missouri.
